Business and Not for Profit Sectors – Future Collaborations Business Survey

Recently, I partnered with the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry to run a networking function to bring the business and not for profit sectors together. The aim was to start a conversation to identify ways the two sectors can work more closely and to mutual benefit.

It was a great opportunity for business and not for profits to start talking about the ways there activities intersect and can assist each other. It was clear Not for Profits of different sizes and interests present different opportunities for business and the same for businesses looking to interact more closely with Not for Profits. Larger Not for Profits identified local purchasing arrangements and potential partnerships as their priorities for relationships with business while some smaller Not for Profits were seeking access to a wider range of professional skills and experience.

I hope this function was the first of many. I believe the opportunities for the business and not for profit sectors to work together for mutual benefit are many and the ultimate beneficiary will be our community. For those of you who attended, thank you for your support, and for those unable to make it, I would still love to hear your views on these issues.

I am seeking your help to continue this conversation. Below is a brief survey regarding how your organisation could engage with the Not for Profit sector and what benefits you could offer. Your response will help us build a register of interested organisations and plan future events.

I would very much appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey. Please don’t limit yourself to questions below. If you have ideas on these matters that we haven’t thought of, please include them in your response. Please return your survey by Friday 22 December.

Thank you in advance for assisting the Chamber and myself with this initiative. I am looking forward to working with you to find new ways to support the important work being undertaken by the not for profit sector in our community.

Kind Regards

Don Punch MLA
