The City of Bunbury’s SkyFest Australia Day Celebrations will be held on Friday 26 January 2018 at Bicentennial Square and Graham Bricknell Music Shell. Free for the community to attend, we invite all to join us in this celebration of National pride, spirit, and to celebrate all things Australian.

Begin your Australia Day with a cracking breakfast beginning at 6.30am which is organised by the Bunbury APEX club. This will be followed by the Bunbury Runners Club Fun Run which takes off from the Leschenault Inlet at 7am. The Mayors Citizenship and Awards Ceremony will commence at 8.30am at the Graham Bricknell Music Shell.

From 11am, the traditional rides and amusements are back again in Sideshow Alley which will run from Friday from 11am and Saturday from 3pm.

From 4pm, there will be a range of free activities and entertainment for the whole family including live music, bush tucker food experiences, Lions train rides and much more.

Australian Summer days heat up pretty fast, so take advantage of Sprinkler City which will host a number of FREE water slides.

For the adrenaline seekers, there will be a 4 metre high ropes course with over 40 metres of course to explore. And if you laugh in the face of heights, challenge yourself to a stunt jump from a 3.3 metre platform, or a knee shaking 7 metre platform for those who have no fear.

If meeting native Australian animals is more your speed, be sure to check out the native animal experience where you can get up close to a variety of native Australia animals, reptiles and other cuddly creatures.

Parents and families with young children can visit the Kids Stage where kid friendly shows will entertain the kids while the parents can stand back and watch. There will also be a Toddler Zone filled with a ball pit and play fort, surrounded by fencing to allow parents to breathe a little easier knowing the kids will stay in sight.

Make sure to grab a bite to eat from the large selection of food vans and don’t forget to check out the Market Square with a wide selection of products from local and out of town stall holders.

As always, the Family Concert on the Graham Bricknell Music Shell will feature a selection of local and South West musicians, as well as a popular nationally recognised performer as our special headliner.

And of course the Fireworks Spectacular will again light up Bunbury from 8.30pm with the biggest and best Australia Day fireworks show in regional WA.
