More and more employers are now recruiting Aboriginal staff – not just because it is the right thing to do but because it makes good business sense.
It is well recognised that workforce diversity can:

  • Demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to better reflect your client or customer base
  • Helps address skill shortages
  • Develops the local workforce to sustain operations into the future

Making the decision to employ Aboriginal people is only just the beginning. Taking the time to put some practical strategies in place to create a supportive and culturally secure workplace for Aboriginal employees will not only help to increase retention rates but also produce higher productivity levels for your business.

This is NOT an Aboriginal cultural awareness workshop. This is for employers who would like to find out more about some of the practical strategies that you can put in place to support the recruitment and employment of Aboriginal people.

This Workshop is being hosted by Working Together South West and delivered by the team from the South West Aboriginal Workforce Development Centre.
