Part of the Warren Blackwood region, the Shire of Donnybrook Balingup is only half an hour from Bunbury and a 1-hour drive from the popular Geographe Bay and famous Margaret River region.

Known for being the apple capital of the South West, Donnybrook is famous for wine, olives, nuts, beef and dairy products as well as a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. This location has also become well known for local timber and sandstone quarrying.

Key attractions in and around Donnybrook include the Apple Fun Park, Glen Mervyn Dam, Donnybrook Indigenous Sculpture Park, Donnybrook Heritage Goods Shed Interpretative Centre and Station Square and the Big Apple. If you are looking to explore this beautiful township, there are also many walking and biking trails to test out. Donnybrook has something for every member of the family with a recreation centre, local library, manicured parks and ovals, Egan Park Skate Park and community halls.

Located between Donnybrook and Bridgetown is the small rural town of Balingup. With a local economy driven by dairy, potato and fruit growing, Balingup is famous for it’s rich and fertile soil. Local craft shops provide a great variety of handcrafted pottery, sculptures, jewellery, alpaca knitwear and herbal products. Notable places to visit in Balingup include the Old Cheese Factory Craft Centre, Balingup Lavender Farm, Balingup Jalbrook Cottages and Golden Valley Tree Park.
