As we move into Djilba, the Noongar season of conception, we welcome a time of transition. Djilba brings a mix of cold, clear days and warmer, windy, and rains that signal new life and preparation for the months ahead.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve connected with several Aboriginal businesses and individuals as we begin planning the next phase of the Working Together program. This important Chamber initiative, delivered in partnership with Jobs & Skills Centres and local employers, supports Aboriginal people in gaining meaningful employment. If you're open to a conversation about creating opportunities or would like more information, please reach out to me directly at ceo@bgcci.com.au.
Facilitating meaningful connections and supporting our members is central to what we do at the Chamber. Our Lunch and Learn series is one way we help members build skills and stay ahead. The next event, taking place on August 20, will focus on practical ways to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into your business and everyday life. You’ll walk away with a 30-day action plan to put your learning into action. We caught up with Andrew Cooke at the recent South West Leaders Conference who will be facilitating the session. See below to hear more about what will be covered. Thanks to Luke at greatmindsmedia.com.au for the video and editing.
Join the conversation and register your place at the Lunch and Learn on August 20!
We’ve also launched a new way to share knowledge across our network through Guest Posts and Op Eds from our members. The first of these, shared last week, was from Better Telco Solutions (BTS), who explained the NBN Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) rollout in Bunbury and offered practical advice on making the most of the upgrade. Please join us in welcoming GTR Events, one of our newest members. They’ll be delivering the Bunbury Outdoor Living, Caravan, Boat & 4WD Expo at Hay Park from April 17–19, 2026, proudly supported by the City of Bunbury. This exciting event will showcase the best in outdoor and adventure living. Learn more...
A reminder that your Chamber membership includes discounted rates for our facilities, from small meeting rooms for 4–6 people to training spaces that can host up to 50 attendees.
Finally, IPS Small Business will be hosting a free workshop at the Chamber on August 14 to help local businesses access current grant opportunities. The Grant Writing for Success session will provide practical advice on preparing a strong application. The session is free to attend and can be booked here...
We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event or connecting soon.
Feel free to get in touch if you have something you would like to share.
