Established in October 2023, Veen Physiotherapy has quickly become a trusted and impactful part of the Bunbury health landscape. Built on a mission to help people reclaim mobility, independence, and quality of life, the clinic delivers personalised, evidence-based care that supports clients to live actively and pain-free.

In just two years, the business has grown to a team of four passionate professionals, serving a diverse range of clients across the region. While clinic-based physiotherapy forms the foundation of its services, the practice extends well beyond its walls. Onsite physiotherapy is delivered in local schools and workplaces, and home visits are provided for people living with disability, mobility challenges, or financial barriers. This flexible, community-first model ensures care is accessible to those who need it most.

The clinic specialises in musculoskeletal injuries, work-related conditions, and functional limitations, offering hands-on manual therapy, tailored exercise programs, ergonomic assessments, and injury prevention strategies. Supported by modern technology and evidence-based techniques, treatment plans are designed around each individual’s goals, whether that’s returning to sport, managing chronic pain, or rebuilding strength after injury. The business’s guiding slogan, “Get Up and Go with Physio,” reflects an energetic and practical commitment to helping people move forward with confidence.

The past 12 months have marked significant milestones. The business has supported more than 892 clients since opening, completed 1,589 appointments in 2025 alone, and expanded its team to meet growing demand. Recognition as Joint Winner of the Business with 1–5 Employees category reflects both strong commercial growth and meaningful community impact.

Winning a Bunbury Geographe Business Excellence Award was incredibly meaningful for us, as Veen Physiotherapy was built with one simple goal: to genuinely help people move better, feel stronger, and get back to living their lives without pain.
Physiotherapy plays an important role in supporting healthy, sustainable workplaces, not just when someone is injured, but long before issues become serious.
In many industries, particularly those involving repetitive tasks, manual handling, or prolonged sitting or standing, minor aches and movement restrictions can gradually develop into significant injuries. Early physiotherapy input helps identify these risks, address them early, and support people to remain comfortable and confident at work.
For employers, this can mean fewer disruptions, reduced time away from work, and a workforce that feels supported rather than pushed through pain. For employees, it means being listened to, understanding their bodies better, and having practical strategies to stay well in their roles.
At its core, workplace physiotherapy isn’t about fixing problems after they occur, it’s about creating healthier work environments where people can perform at their best and still feel good at the end of the day. - Rhys Veen

Equally important is the culture behind the clinic. A strong emphasis is placed on mentoring, professional development, flexibility, and wellbeing, creating an environment where staff feel supported to grow and specialise in areas they are passionate about. This people-first approach extends to clients, with feedback actively sought and used to refine services, appointment availability, and education offerings.

Environmental responsibility is also embedded into daily operations. The clinic prioritises reusable equipment, energy-efficient practices, recycling initiatives, and local suppliers, demonstrating that small, consistent choices can make a real difference.

For Rhys and the team, recognition at the 2025 Bunbury Geographe Business Excellence Awards reflects more than rapid growth. It acknowledges a business built with purpose: one that removes barriers to care, invests in people, embraces innovation, and strengthens the health and wellbeing of the local community. As the practice continues to grow, its focus remains firmly on delivering high-quality physiotherapy, empowering clients, and making a lasting positive impact across the region.
