WA Small Business Day is this Saturday, 31st October!
Small Business Day is a celebration of the small businesses across our state that drive our local economy, create local jobs, and bring vibrancy to our communities. This day is an important opportunity to recognise their hard work and contributions.
As the Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the Bunbury Geographe region, we are proud to support this initiative and encourage our members and the wider community to shop local, support local businesses, and to celebrate the incredible contribution they make to our region.
To the business owners, operators, and employers across Bunbury Geographe and beyond, this is a day to celebrate you! Your hard work, your commitment, and your investment in our region, create jobs and strengthen our local economy to build a thriving business community. According to the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC), Western Australia is home to nearly 260,000 small businesses, representing around 97 per cent of all businesses in the state and contributing more than $87 billion to the WA economy each year. Small businesses also employ 35 per cent of the state's private sector workforce. (source)
