The Shire of Dardanup, in partnership with the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI), will host a Dardanup Business After Hours networking event in May, providing a new platform for local businesses to connect and engage.
The free event will take place on Thursday, 21 May 2026 from 5.30pm to 7.00pm at the Dardanup Tavern, bringing together local businesses, entrepreneurs, industry representatives and regional partners.
Delivered as part of the Shire’s Business Support Program, the event aims to strengthen connections across the local business community, support collaboration and enhance opportunities for economic growth and resilience.

Shire of Dardanup President Cr Tyrrell Gardiner said partnering with BGCCI was a key step in expanding networking and learning opportunities for local businesses.
“Our local businesses are the backbone of the Dardanup economy, and this event is about creating meaningful opportunities for them to connect, share ideas and access support,” Cr Gardiner said.
“Partnering with BGCCI allows us to deliver a high-quality networking event right here in Dardanup, tailored to the needs of our local business community.”
BGCCI Chief Executive Officer Sean McKeown welcomed the collaboration and said the event would strengthen connections between local and regional businesses.
“Business After Hours events are all about building relationships, sharing knowledge and opening doors to new opportunities,” Mr McKeown said.
“We’re pleased to be working with the Shire of Dardanup to deliver this local Business After Hours event and support the continued growth and resilience of businesses in the region.”
The May event will be hosted by the Dardanup Tavern, with attendees gaining insight into the business’s journey, its role within the community and future plans.
The program will also include a presentation from IPS Advisory Consultant Craig Holland on fully funded business support services, along with economic development updates from both the Shire of Dardanup and BGCCI.
Cr Gardiner said the Dardanup Business After Hours event forms part of the Shire’s Business Support Program, launched in February 2026.
He said the program focuses on communication, recognition, training and networking, and funding, supported by a coordinated calendar of events throughout the year.
“Local businesses are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to connect and engage in a relaxed and informal setting,” Cr Gardiner said.
Registrations are essential and places are limited. Businesses can register via the Shire of Dardanup website by Thursday, 14 May 2026. Light refreshments will be provided, with attendees encouraged to arrive from 5.30pm for a 5.45pm start.
