Applications are now open for the 2027 South West Leaders Program, offering individuals across the South West the opportunity to connect, learn and grow through mentorship.
Delivered by the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BGCCI), the South West Leaders Program brings together mentors and mentees at different stages of their professional and leadership journeys, creating opportunities to share experiences, exchange ideas and build meaningful connections.
Open to both Chamber members and non-members, the free program welcomes individuals from all industries and levels of experience. Whether you're an emerging professional looking for guidance or an experienced leader keen to share your knowledge, the program offers an opportunity for mutual learning and development.
Building Connections Through Mentorship
At the heart of the program is a carefully considered mentor-mentee matching process. Participants are paired based on their professional goals, experience, interests and the skills or insights they hope to gain or share.
Mentors provide guidance, share experiences and offer fresh perspectives, while mentees take an active role in setting goals, seeking advice and driving the relationship.
Participants are encouraged to meet at least monthly throughout the program, with flexibility to arrange catch-ups in person or online.
More Than Mentorship
Alongside the one-on-one mentoring relationships, the South West Leaders Program offers a range of opportunities to connect with the wider leadership community, including:
- Networking events, keynote speaker breakfasts and sundowners
- Discounted ticket to the annual South West Leaders Conference
- Leadership 30's and 60's webinars featuring guest speakers from Australia and around the world
- Regular newsletters sharing insights and perspectives from local and international leaders
These activities provide opportunities to broaden professional networks, explore new ideas and continue learning throughout the year. Some events may involve additional ticket costs.
Become a Mentor or Mentee
Mentors have the opportunity to share their knowledge, experience and leadership insights while supporting the development of others. Mentoring can also offer fresh perspectives and opportunities for personal growth.
Mentees gain access to guidance, encouragement and practical insights to help navigate challenges, build confidence and work towards their professional goals.
Both mentors and mentees are asked to commit to the full program and maintain regular contact to make the most of the experience.
Applications for 2027 Are Now Open
The 2027 South West Leaders Program will commence in February 2027, and expressions of interest are now being accepted.
Participation is free and open to individuals across the South West, regardless of Chamber membership.
