Life Membership Award to Fiona SkilbeckPresented at the 2019 AGM on the 18th of September 2019.This award recognises the significant contribution that Fiona Skilbeck has made to the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry since she joined the Executive Committee in 2007. Fiona remained an active committee member and was elected to the position of Vice President in 2011/12, 2012/13 and 2013/14.Fiona became Chamber President for the 2014/15 year and has remained in the role of Immediate Past President until 2019. Over this period Fiona has represented the organisation with distinction and has played a major role in driving representation within the Halifax Industrial Estate leading to State Government funding initiatives in that area. Always one of the first to volunteer her personal time on weekends for Busy Bees,Fiona has helped on a range of maintenance projects and supported the Chamber, in kind, through Bunbury City Glass. Fiona is also actively involved in other community organisations and causes including Board membership of Regional Development Australia (RDA) and the Dolphin Discovery Centre. Throughout this time Fiona has been supported by Don and we look forward to their ongoing engagement with the Chamber.Thank you on behalf of the Chamber membership and the wider business community of the region.
